Silent Book Club coming to North Branch Library

On Thursday, June 5 the Silent Book Club will begin meeting at the North Branch Library.

The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will be held monthly on the first Thursday of each month.

Founded in 2012, Silent Book Club is an organization that's part of an international movement that reimagines traditional book clubs.

Unlike more traditional book clubs, participants won't have an assigned book to read and there won't be a required discussion. Instead, it will be a space where people can read alongside each other.

Participants are encouraged to bring a favorite book, e-reader, audiobook with earbuds or magazine for the quiet reading time.

The North Branch Library is located at 211 Cross Road.
