Slurp up some soup

On Sunday, March 9 St. Peter's Episcopal Church will be hosting a soup, chili and chowder cook-off.

Tickets for this event will cost $10 per person. Children under five-years-old can attend free.

A ticket will get attendees a bowl and an opportunity to visit 15 stations set up with different types of soup, chowder and chili. Attendees will be able to go to as many tables as they would like and sample as many soups, chowders and chilis as possible.

At the end of the event will be a vote by secret ballot to pick the favorite dish. The creator of the most popular meal will receive a prize.

The cook-off will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church at 351 Elm Street.
