Two Massachusetts musicians will team up and take the stage together for a show at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. The Donn Legge and Matt Richard duo was officially formed in early 2023, but Matt and Donn have known each other and collaborated in many musical events beginning at Westfield State College in the early 1980s.  In the acoustically beautiful sanctuary of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Dartmouth, Donn and Matt will perform a mix of jazz standards and original compositions in many styles.

The event will start at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 and will cost $20. 

Donn Legge can be seen playing with Blues Train, South Coast Jazz Orchestra, Patrice Tiedmann’s Seaglass Theater, Dori Rubbicco, NB Rude Boys, and Kareem Sanjaghi on Cape Cod. While living in Miami Florida for a number of years Donn played with the “Miami Heat Band” in the late ‘80’s and also with Gogi Grant, Rich Little and Trini Lopez. 

Matt Richard composes and arranges music in many styles and has performed throughout the New England area as a soloist and accompanist with many different ensembles and musicians. Such musicians include jazz vocal legend Sheila Jordan, The Artie Shaw Orchestra (led by Dick Johnson), and the Monday Night Jazz Series at The Roadhouse Cafe in Hyannis.
