Things to do: Prowl for owls, trunk or treat
There’s a lot happening in Dartmouth in any given week, here’s what’s coming up this weekend.
Friday, Oct. 22
Owl prowl
The Paskamansett Bird Club will host an owl prowl Friday, Oct. 22 led by Lauren Miller-Donnelly. For details and to register, call (401) 924-1880.
Saturday, Oct. 23
Bottle, can drive
Dartmouth Dog Advisory Work Group is sponsoring a plastic bottle and can redemption drive from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at the dog park parking lot, 443 Old Fall River Road. There is no rain date.
Bottles and cans must be redeemable, clean and rinsed and bagged or boxed. The advisory group is working with the town to build a permanent dog park in the Dartmouth Regional Parks and Trails facility.
Family festival at St. Peter’s
The inaugural festival will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 outside St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 351 Elm St. The festivities will include a costume contest, touch a truck with Dartmouth police and fire vehicles, a bounce house, pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, a performance by Toe Jam Puppet Band, face painting and a photo booth, among other offerings.
Trunk or treat
The fourth annual Trunk or Treat will be held from 1:30-4 p.m. at Stackhouse Club, 16 Faith St. Saturday, Oct 23. A small donation is requested to enter a vehicle. There will be raffles and music. For more information, call (508) 642-0742.
