Suck up to Santa.
Experience Christmas caroling, ice sculpture carving, egg nog, and Santa from 5-8 p.m. in Padanaram. Parking for the Padanaram Business Association's event will be available at the New Bedford Yacht Club, 208 Elm Street, and at St. Mary's Church, 783 Dartmouth Street. Become the ultimate foodie.
The Dartmouth Grange will continue its Farmer Film and Potluck Series with a collection of short films that showcase nature and food in South Africa and Colorado. The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Observatory will open for public viewing at 7 p.m. Star-gazing will only take place if the skies are clear and weather permits. Stuff yourself.
The Dartmouth High School Alumni Association will hold its monthly dinner at 5:30 p.m. at the Dartmouth Council on Aging, 628 Dartmouth Street. The menu will feature baked stuffed chicken breast with potato, vegetables, homemade desserts, and beverages for $10 per person. Support your local land trust.
The Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust will open the doors of its new headquarters for a Holiday Open House, 4-6 p.m., at 318 Chase Road. Expect mulled cider, hors d’oeuvers, and a holiday raffle. Browse locally crafted art.
Fifteen artisans will display and sell their work at the Dartmouth Grange on December 3 and 4, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Browse pottery, graphics, rugs, artisanal soaps, and jewelry. Sunday afternoon will also feature music by the Westport River Rats.
