Join the Lonely Parrots for a concert
No need to be lonely, join the Lonely Parrots for a live concert at Round the Bend Farm on Thursday, May 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The band, which consists of Michael Martinez and Max Embers, have collaborated with artists such as Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and John Oats.
There will be farm-fresh food and local beer and wine for purchase.
Round the Bend Farm is located at 92 Allens Neck Road.
Friday, May 22
Summer Kickback at Running Brook
Running Brook Vineyards is kicking off the summer on Friday, May 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The event will have a DJ, a food truck, lawn games and wine.
Running Brook Vineyard is located at 335 Old Fall River Road.
Saturday, May 23
Tractor pull
On Saturday, May 23 the Paskamansett Beagle Club will be holding its first slab tractor pull of the season.
The tractor pull begins at 11 a.m., with weigh-ins beginning at 8 a.m. for the first class, which will be the 850 pounds 12 and under kids class. Next will be the 13 to 18 age group, followed by adults over 18 and ending with the 950 pound class for kids ages 12 and under.
Sweatshirts will be given to the top three winners in each class.
The event will be held at the Paskamansetts Beagle Club at 258 Lucy Little Road.
Monday, May 25
Memorial Day Parade
Dartmouth's Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 25 at 9 a.m.
The parade will begin at Apponagansett Park and will head across the Padanaram Bridge into the village. It will then take a left onto Elm Street and there will be a short service at the cemetery. The parade will end at the intersection of Elm Street and Russells Mills Road.
This year the parade will feature classic cars and old military vehicles, including ones from World War II.
Tuesday, May 26
Learn about honeybees at the Dartmouth Cultural Center
On Tuesday, May 26 visit the Dartmouth Cultural Center to learn about honeybees and their importance to the environment and make beeswax candles.
This event is being presented by the Bristol County Bee Association and is free to attend, and it will cost 5$ to make a beeswax candle.
Preregistration is required and can be done by calling 508-991-0484.
This event will go from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Dartmouth Cultural Center, located at 404 Elm Street.
