DARTMOUTH—Carlos A. Machado, 91, of Dartmouth, passed away May 13, 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of 67 years to Maria Margarida (Pereira) Machado.

Born in São Pedro, Terceira, Açores, he immigrated to the United States in 1967 and settled in Dartmouth. Carlos worked for Johnson & Johnson was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Parish. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Eduardo Machado and wife Fatima; grandchildren, Cindy Almeida and Scott Machado; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Maria Nascimento Silva and Maria Natal Silveira.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 8:30–9:30 AM at Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home, 129 Allen St., New Bedford, followed by a Mass at St. Julie Billiart Parish at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery
