May 10, 2024

Dartmouth Town Clerk Sarah Arruda has joined the ranks of 111 other town clerks in the state after she was awarded a Certified Massachusetts Municipal Clerk designation.

This designation is given out by the Massachusetts Town Clerks Association annually.

Arruda, who has been Dartmouth’s town clerk for just over three years, will receive a commemorative pin and certificate during a conference on Thursday, June 6.

Arruda achieved this designation by attending educational courses and passing a 250 question aptitude test measuring her knowledge of Massachusetts General Laws.

In addition to being a member of the Massachusetts Town Clerks Association, Arruda is a member of the Tri-County Clerks Association which includes Bristol, Norfolk and Plymouth counties.
