Town closes deal on Bliss Corner
Sep 18, 2026
The settlement agreement for the superfund site at Bliss Corner has ended, and the Federal Government has given permission for the town to issue payment.
The Finance Committee previously approved a reserve fund transfer of $50,000, of the total $28 million clean up cost.
Work to clean up the contaminants will continue on the land, but the town is no longer considered liable.
This was a group effort with the Department of Public Works, Environmental Protections Agency, the town and the Department of Public Health.
“I genuinely think that’s why we ended where we are … because our team was so good to work with,” said Town Coordinator Cody Haddad.
