Dartmouth Police seize gun, drugs

On July 28, the Dartmouth Police Department Detective Division executed a search warrant at 2 Slocum Farm Drive, South Dartmouth. As a result of the search warrant, Dartmouth Police seized a .22 caliber revolver, as well as heroin, Suboxone and money, police said.

Dartmouth Detectives arrested Ejay Pierce, 22, of 2 Slocum Farm Drive and Nathan Cormier, 22, of 126 Thompson St., New Bedford, according to Detective Kyle Costa of the police department.

Pierce is being charged with possession of a Class A substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a Class B substance and an arrest warrant.

Cormier is being charged with possession of a firearm without a Firearms Identification Card, possession of a firearm with two prior violent/drug crimes, illegal possession of ammunition, improper storage of a firearm and an arrest warrant issued by Massachusetts Parole.

Police said that the search was executed with help from members of the New Bedford Police Department and the South Coast Anti-Crime Team, which includes members of the Bristol County Sheriff’s Department and the Fairhaven Police Department.
