Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust to host free New Year's walk

Dec 16, 2015

On Jan. 1, 2016, Brian Gollub of the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust will host a guided walk through Destruction Brook Woods.

The walk is free and will start from the Destruction Brook Woods parking lot on Slade’s Corner Road at 9 a.m.

The 280-acre Destruction Brook Woods Reserve includes miles of walking trails, mature woodlands, unusual rock ledges, and Destruction Brook itself, once a major source of power for the mills of Russell’s Mills.

The trust asks that participants bring water and dress appropriately for the day’s weather. Usually only the worst weather will cancel a walk.

If the weather is questionable, check the official Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust website www.dnrt.org or Facebook page on the morning of the walk.
