Norbina L. Linhares, 94
Norbina (Lima) Linhares, 94, of Dartmouth passed away Tuesday, September 27 in St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jose da Costa Linhares.
Born in Ribeira Quente, Sao Miguel, Acores a daughter of the late Joao and Maria Lima, she came to America in 1968. Mrs. Linhares worked as a seamstress for various clothing manufacturing companies in the area and in her spare time she enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by two sons, Armindo Linhares and his wife Cynthia, Jose Linhares and his wife Patricia all of Dartmouth; a daughter Teresa Linhares of Dartmouth; one grandchild, Nelson Linhares and his wife Michelle of Dartmouth; two great grandchildren, Mia Linhares and Jaxson Linhares of Dartmouth; a sister, Gloria Rego of Sao Miguel, Azores. She was the sister of the late Joao Lima, Antonio Inacio Flor de Lima, Abel Lima, Maria do Carmo Rego, Adelina Souza, Francelina Carvalho, Aura Roque, and Libania Peixoto.
Her funeral will be Saturday, October 1 at 9 a.m. at the Waring-Sullivan Home at 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in St. Julie Billiart Parish, 494 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth.
