Jan 6, 2017
A community-wide remembrance service for those who died due to addiction will take place on January 29 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 351 Elm Street, at 10:30 a.m.
The service, offered as part of St. Peter’s weekly service, will include special music and healing rituals to remember lives lost. Family members and friends of those who have died due to addiction are encouraged to attend, as well as those struggling with addiction and their families.
This special service is open to everyone regardless of life story, self-image, marriage situation or sexual orientation. It will feature special guest speaker Dr. Michael Rocha, a Hawthorn Medical cardiologist who helped found the group Physicians to Prevent Opiate Abuse.
