Football team heading to postseason

Oct 23, 2017

Football brackets are in, and it’s official: the Indians are heading into tournament season.

Despite finishing the season with a 3-4 record - most recently with a 28-26 win over league rival Barnstable on October 20 – Dartmouth High is the fourth seed in the Div. 4 South playoffs.

The team won back-to-back Super Bowl trophies in 2014 and 2015. Last year, after finishing the season with an undefeated winning streak stretching back to 2015, the Indians advanced as far as the semi-finals before being knocked out of contention by North Attleboro.

The team will face fifth-seeded Nauset in a home playoff game on October 27 at 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. A win could pit the Indians against either first-seeded Hopkinton or eighth-seeded Pembroke in the semi-finals.
