Thomas JW Cory, 67, of Dartmouth passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 in his home after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Sheryl (Soares) Cory and the former husband of Roberta Cory.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Thomas and Gloria (Rogers) Cory he was a lifetime area resident. Tom graduated from New Bedford High School in 1970. He worked as a night manager at Almacs for 25 years. He was also a truck driver for Perkins for over a dozen years.

Tom was an avid sports fan, especially of the Boston Bruins. After playing sports in his younger years, he went on to coach youth sports. Tom took great joy in watching the extra-curricular activities of his children and grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to proudly cheer them on. Tom led an active life. He loved long drives on his motorcycle and traveling adventures with his wife. He could often be found playing pool, racquetball, bowling and card games with family and friends. He enjoyed a good joke and a few bad ones too.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Gregory M. Cory and his wife Jacqueline of Taunton; grandchildren, Alex Reis, Taylor Cory and Cameron Cory; three stepdaughters, Andrea, Leah, and Kellie Breen; and his beloved dog Rosie. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Olive Soares who he cared for in home with his wife.
