This year St. Peter's Episcopal Church will be holding its annual Blessing of Animals and Pets in a drive-thru format to maintain social distancing in light of the pandemic.

The traditional blessing of pets takes place every year to commemorate the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi.

All are welcome to bring pets of all sizes and shapes (including dogs, cats, goldfish, hamsters, turtles, birds, snakes, and any others) for a special blessing on Sunday, Oct. 11 from noon to 12:30 p.m.
Children are invited to bring their stuffed animals as well to be blessed.

Participants of all species must stay in their vehicle and humans must wear face masks.

Those receiving the blessing are asked to drive up using the Elm Street entrance.

Clergy will offer the blessing at the front door of the church from six feet away.
Once blessed, participants should exit using the Cleveland Street exit.
Everyone in the community is welcome, regardless of current faith tradition.
