Police arrest wanted parole violator

Dartmouth Police arrested Joshua Bishop, of New Bedford, in the Stop and Shop parking lot on Faunce Corner Road on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at about 4:25 p.m., according to a police press release.
Bishop was wanted by the Massachusetts Parole Board and tried to flee the arrest.
In addition to an outstanding warrant for larceny, Bishop was charged with speeding, reckless operation and failure to stop for police.
After taking Bishop to Dartmouth Police Headquarters, he was transferred to members of the Massachusetts Parole Board.
