SouthCoast Community Foundation Scholarship gives back
Eight Dartmouth High School students received scholarships from the SouthCoast Community Foundation in early May.
The SouthCoast Community Foundation is a nonprofit serving the communities of southeastern Massachusetts through philanthropy. This year, the foundation awarded 97 south coast students, totaling over $800,000 in award money.
"Many of our scholars have overcome significant challenges to pursue their education dreams and goals. With help from our donors, they are poised to make substantial contributions in fields ranging from engineering and medicine to the arts and social sciences," said Melanie Edwards-Tavares, president and CEO of the SouthCoast Community Foundation.
This year’s recipients from Dartmouth High School — 2024 graduates and earlier — and the scholarships they received are as follows:

Onyinyechukwu Okoroji — College Club of New Bedford, Inc. Scholarship
