In its final event of the season, Round the Bend Farm will host its holiday bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 21. Celebrate the Open Farm Day in partnership with Elements Learning Collaborative, which will lead children in a wreath-making project for a special Kwanza celebration.
More than 20 vendors will be at the bazaar from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and items for sale will include children’s books, handcrafted wooden gifts, pottery, soaps, and baked goods.
The Kwaanza celebration, slated to take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., is an African American holiday that observes the history, values, family, community and culture of the heritage by sharing meals, music and the memories that honor each other.
The wreath-making event is open to children of all ages who will gather greens and plants to create their own version of the iconic holiday decoration that symbolizes the cycle of the seasons.
In addition, a farm-fresh lunch will be available for purchase. Interested attendees should order lunch in advance.
The bazaar is free and open to all and will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 92 Allen Neck Road.
