Two teenaged men were killed Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Route 195 West.
Kevin Dos Santos Lopes, 19, of New Bedford and Amilton De Pina Semedo, 18, of Pawtucket, R.I. died after being ejected from their vehicle, Bristol Count District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn, III has reported.
The accident took place at about 1:35 p.m. July 26 near the Reed Road exit. Multiple 911 calls came in about the incident.
The engine of the vehicle, a gray 2006 Chevy Equinox, was dislodged in the crash, Quinn said.
The men were transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead shortly after.
The crash is under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police along with Troopers assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. The incident is not deemed suspicious, Quinn said.
