Ever wanted to learn how to survive a zombie apocalypse? Join author Max Brallier for a virtual visit with the Southworth Library as he shares how he created the world of his New York Times bestselling book “The Last Kids on Earth,” at 2 p.m. on Tuesday July 16.
In the book, the monster apocalypse recently struck town and thirteen-year-old Jack Sullivan is living in a tree house, armed with catapults, video games, and a supply of Oreos and Mountain Dews. However, Jack is alone and is no match for the hordes of zombies, winged wretches and vine thingies, and especially not for the eerily intelligent monster, known as Blarg.
Brallier is the author of more than 50 books. Under the pen name Jack Chabert, Brallier is also the author of the “Eerie Elementary” series, as well as the graphic novel “Poptropica: Mystery of the Map.” He has also written books for properties including LEGO, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe, and Uncle Grandpa. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter.
Register for the event on the Dartmouth Public Library’s event page. The library will host six more authors throughout the summer for its virtual author talks series.
