Habitat for Humanity looking for wheelchair ramp donations
The Buzzards Bay Area Habitat for Humanity is looking for wheelchair ramps for their Ramp Donation Program.
They have multiple families looking for ramps. The Executive Director Christine Lacourse states a ramp can be “...a lifeline to the outside world.”
This year, they have installed 15 ramps and hope to install more.
The donations are tax deductible as the organization is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. They are funded through grants from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, and the Executive Office of Aging & Independence and Coastline Elderly Services, the Area Agency on Aging, through Federal Title-III funds.
To donate or request a ramp, email BuzzardsBayAreaHabitat@yahoo.com. To make a monetary donation, visit www.BuzzardsBayHabitat.org or send a check to BBAHFH, P.O. Box 1584, Mattapoisett, MA 02739 noting “Ramp Donation program” in the memo.
