Concert Series at Apponagansett Park
The 26th Annual Concert Series at Apponagansett Park is going to begin on June 17. The concerts, which are hosted by the Dartmouth Parks and Recreation Department, will be on Wednesday nights through Aug. 26.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the concert runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $5, and is free for kids 11 and under. Guests should bring blankets and chairs.
Season passes are available for $30, which gives the passholder access to all 11 concerts. There’s a different genre of music for each concert.
“That 80’s Band” will be playing on June 17, who play high energy dance hits.
“Misdemeanor,” a five-piece band that specializes in retro hits from the 1970s and 1980s, will play on June 24.
On July 1, the six-piece rock band “Last Day on Earth” will cover classics from the 1960s through the 1990s.
“Loose Screws,” which is made up of three life-long Dartmouth residents, will play a number of hits from the 1970s onwards on July 8.
“Redline Band” will play on July 15, will cover songs from all genres, including country, pop and alternative.
On July 22, “Noise in the Basement" will play a number of class rock songs.
“Hardwire,” a six-piece rock band will play a number of favorites from the 1970s to today on July 29.
“Wild Nites,” a party band that covers a number of fun songs, will play on Aug. 5.
On Aug. 12, the five-member Journey tribute band “Affinity” will cover Journey’s greatest hits.
“The Concept Band” will play 1980s pop, 1990s rock and country music on Aug. 19.
“Your Favorite Color” will end the concert series on Aug. 26. The five-piece band blends rhythm and blues, pop, classic rock and hip-hop.
