Dartmouth man dies in car crash

Christopher Canario, a 22-year-old man from Dartmouth, was pronounced dead after a car crash on Sunday, June 7. 

Around 4:30 p.m., a Toyota Corolla crashed into a tree near 899 Old Fall River Road. A 23-year-old woman was driving, and was transported to a local hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. No further information about the driver has been revealed at this time. 

When emergency responders arrived on the scene, they found that the car had severe damage to the passenger side. 

Canario was in the passenger seat, and was unresponsive with severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

The investigation is currently ongoing by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office, with no further details known.
