Dartmouth couple wins international trip

Two Dartmouth residents, James and Susan Thompson, won a $10,000 award to travel anywhere in the world from the Bristol Rotary of Rhode Island. 

The couple chose to travel to Galway, Ireland, where they will enjoy a stay, dinner, and golf at the Adare Manor castle in County Limerick, Ireland. The Ryder Cup will be held there in 2027. 

The fundraiser offered the prize as a raffle, with $25 for a ticket. The Rotary raised $20,000, which was split evenly between the Women’s Resource Center and the Bristol HEZ’ School-based Family Services.
