The Dartmouth Heritage Preservation Trust will be holding its annual meeting on Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Wamsutta Club on 427 County St., New Bedford from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Check-in will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Diane Gilbert, president of the trust, plans to give an update on the Dartmouth Heritage Preservation Trust and plans for Phase III at the Akin House.

The business meeting will commence at 6 p.m. followed by featured speaker Peggi Medeiros who will read excerpts from her new book, “New Bedford Mansions.”

A reception including a book signing will follow the lecture. Her book may be purchased during the event.

The event is free and open to the public.
