No one injured in Crossroad Apartments fire

The Dartmouth Fire Departments responded to a kitchen fire at the Crossroad Apartments at 7:29 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1.
District 3 responded to the fire following a box alarm and a 911 call. Ryan Arruda said the Department of Fire Services determined the fire began in a waste bin in the kitchen, although the cause is not currently known.
The apartment was deemed uninhabitable , misplacing the two tenants, with the entire kitchen burnt and the apartment smoke damaged. The apartment below it was water damaged and deemed uninhabitable for the time, misplacing the three tenants. All five tenants were uninjured and are being helped by the Red Cross.
