Haunted Happenings
There are many haunted happenings leading up to Halloween this year, including the annual Padanaram Halloween Stroll and numerous trunk-or-treats. Check out all that’s happening around town.
Wednesday, Oct. 22
Autumn Glen trunk-or-treating
Autumn Glen is hosting its 3rd annual trunk or treat. Families and friends are welcome to join Autumn Glen residents, families and associates for an afternoon of fall and Halloween fun.
This event starts at 3 p.m. at 239 Cross Road.
Tailgate trunk or treat
Join Tailgate Sports Bar for a trunk-or-treating event on Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
All ages are welcome, and kids eat free during the event. There will be a prize for the best decorated trunk.
Tailgate is located at 227 State Road.
Saturday, Oct. 25
Eye-spy trunk-or-treating
Eye-spy Halloween fun with Eye Health Vision Centers at their Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be lots of trick or treating, local vendors and the first 100 kids will get a free goodie bag.
Eye Health Vision Centers is located at 51 State Road.
Haunted harvest festival
Join Running Brook Farms for a haunted harvest festival on Oct. 25 and 26 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be festival favorites like wine tastings, grape stomping, local vendors and hayrides. To get into the spooky spirit, there will be free pumpkin decorating, a wine raffle, a costume contest at 2 p.m. and trunk-or-treating from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
Hanksters Gangsters will be playing on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Running Brook Vineyards is located at 335 Old Fall River Road.
Trunk-or-treating, no tricks
Trick-or-treat with no tricks at Soares Martial Arts and Big Blue Swim School’s free Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
There will be treats of all kinds and creatively decorated cars for a safe trick-or-treating environment.
Last year's event had over 400 families, and is expected to be bigger this year, so wear the best costume.
The event will be held at 331 State Road, at the Martial Arts and Swim School. To register a car, sign up online.
Sunday, Oct. 26
Haunted harvest festival
Day two of the Running Brook Farms Haunted Harvest Festival.
Running Brook Vineyards is located at 335 Old Fall River Road.
Trunk-or-treat with no fear
Join St. Peter’s Episcopal Church for trunk-or-treating on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Teens, kids and families can get paint pumpkins and trick-or-treat for free, with parental supervision.

Wednesday, Oct. 29
Adult karaoke
Halloween isn’t just for kids. Ying Dynasty Bar is having a 21+ Halloween Karaoke Party on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Wear the best costume in the closet for the costume contest for a prize.
Ying Dynasty Bar is located at 724 Dartmouth Street.
Thursday, Oct. 30
Rocky Picture Horror Show
Time to do the time warp again. UMass Dartmouth’s 20 Cent Fiction is putting on their 32nd annual Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The picture show will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30. Tickets for the public are $10, $7 for alum and staff and $5 for students.
The picture show will be in the Angus A. Bailey Auditorium, located at 285 Old Westport Road. Strobe lights will be used during the show.
Friday, Oct. 31
Padanaram Halloween parade
Padanaram is having their annual costume parade and trick-or-treating event.
The parade starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31. Kids can show off their costumes and get candy from the local stores.
The parade will start at the New Bedford Yacht Club, located at 208 Elm Street, but they ask that participants do not park there. The parade will end at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church located at 1351 Elm Street.
