Henry "Hank" Souza, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on November 9, 2024 at the age of 89. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on December 31, 1934, Henry was the son of the late Manuel and Mary (Paiva) Souza. He lived a life full of dedication to his family, his work and his passions.
 
Henry was married to the love of his life, Rosalie (Correia) Souza, for an incredible 68 years. Together, they raised three children: Wayne (Kathy) Souza of Mattapoisett, Debbie Walker of Liberty, Missouri, and Brenda (Peter) Simmons of Dartmouth. Hank's legacy continues through his six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy. He was predeceased by his beloved grandson, Kyle.
 
Henry served in the Army National Guard. He was a musician in his younger days playing the clarinet in many of the Earle Street bands. As a machinist and tool & die maker, he worked for many years at US Ringbinder before retiring. Henry's craftsmanship extended beyond his professional work; he was a woodworker and furniture maker known for his skill, attention to detail, and creativity.
 
Henry was also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and spent countless hours freshwater fishing. His love for nature was further expressed in his trips to the cabin in Maine where he made many cherished memories with his son, Wayne.
 
In addition to his family and hobbies, Henry's kindness, warmth, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a man of integrity, generosity, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.
 
Henry's memory will be forever cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, craftsmanship, and adventure that will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
 
Services celebrating Henry's life were private. Arrangements were by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
