NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that a meeting will be held in accordance with the provisions of the Dartmouth Wetlands Protection Bylaw and M.G.L., Ch. 131, §40, the Wetlands Protection Act, on a Notice of Intent from James Clancy (Eversource Energy) c/o Dorothy Lawrence (VHB) for proposed electric facility expansion to the Fisher Road Substation, including installation of new electrical equipment, underground conduits, stormwater infrastructure, fencing, vegetation removal, grading, and landscaping, located at 630 Fisher Rd (Map 32/Lot 45). The subject parcel contains Bordering Vegetated Wetlands (BVW) and the associated 100-foot Buffer Zone. The Conservation Commission voted in a Public Meeting to continue meeting virtually (via a Zoom Link) in accordance with the Governor’s 2025 extension of the virtual/hybrid open meeting option through June 30, 2027. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Login information for the meeting appears on the agenda posted on the Dartmouth Conservation Commission page of the Town of Dartmouth website. All interested parties should log into the meeting and be present at that time.

Pursuant to Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 111, Section 31 the Dartmouth Board of Health, at its meeting of 24 August 2026, revised the Town of Dartmouth Board of Health Tobacco and Restricted Products Regulations. These Regulations revised by the Board in recognition of certain products posing an inherent risk to public health and safety, and to thereby ensure that these products are banned from the display, distribution, possession, sale or stocking at any place of business within the Town of Dartmouth. The revision of the Tobacco and Restricted Products Regulations by the Dartmouth Board of Health as follows: Section 3 add a definition for the Inhalable Products Regulations, and Section 7 add Inhalable Products for being kept or offered for sale at a Licensed Tobacco and Restricted Products location. Copies of the revised regulations, entitled Town of Dartmouth Board of Health Tobacco and Restricted Products Regulations in their entirety, are available at the office of the Board of Health, 400 Slocum Road, North Dartmouth. Effective: September 3, 2026.

Pursuant to Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 111, Section 31 the Dartmouth Board of Health, at its meeting of 24 August 2026, revised the Town of Dartmouth Board of Health Prohibited Products Regulations. These Regulations revised by the Board in recognition of certain products posing an inherent risk to public health and safety, and to thereby ensure that these products are banned from the display, distribution, possession, sale or stocking at any place of business within the Tow of Dartmouth. Section 3 of the regulations has a proposed revision to expand the possible criteria of prohibited products. The proposed expanded criteria include products that are intended or designed to be or likely capable of being utilized to defraud or otherwise create false results from a chemical testing. Copies of the revised regulations, entitled Town of Dartmouth Board of Health Prohibited Products Regulations in their entirety, are available at the office of the Board of Health, 400 Slocum Road, North Dartmouth. Effective: September 3, 2026.

The adoption of the Inhalable Products Regulations by the Dartmouth Board of Health in recognition of certain products that are capable of being inhaled and posing a likely risk to the public health and safety if displayed, distributed, possessed, sold or stocked in an unregulated manner at any place of business in the Town of Dartmouth. Inhalable Products are noted in Section 3 of the regulations and in summary focus upon nitrous oxide. Copies of the regulations, entitled Town of Dartmouth Board of Health Inhalable Products Regulations, in their entirety, are available at the office of the Board of Health, 400 Slocum Road, North Dartmouth. Effective: September 3, 2026.
