Town census, dog license payments due

Feb 22, 2022

The Town of Dartmouth’s annual census forms have been mailed to all Dartmouth households, and Town Clerk Sarah Arruda asks that all residents complete the census in a timely fashion.

Even if there are no changes to your household this year, forms must be returned. All occupants, including children, should be listed, although information obtained for residents under age 17 remains confidential.

Failure to complete the census could cause issues at the voting polls, as residents could be placed on an “inactive” list and must complete additional paperwork.

If residents have not received a census form, they are asked to contact the Town Clerk’s office at (508) 910-1800. A blank census form can also be downloaded from the town website.

Dog licenses are also due soon.

Dogs must be licensed by March 1, 2022. Proof of current rabies certificate must be present at the time of licensing.

A copy of the dog license form is included on the census form, and must be detached and sent separately per the instructions on the document.

Completed forms can be mailed to Town Clerk, 400 Slocum Road, Dartmouth, MA 02747 or put into the drop box outside the Town Office Building.
