Town seeking members for Russells Mills Historic District Commission
The Russells Mills Historic District Commission is looking for eight interested residents to join the Commission.
Members should have an interest in history, architecture or community preservation as many matters heard are to protect the “unique character” of Russells Mills.
In this role, Commission members will review and decide on applications within the district, participate in meetings, collaborate with other members and contribute their own knowledge. Members must apply guidelines and follow the state and town ethical laws.
The Commission consists of seven members and three alternates. At least one member must be a resident in the District.
Of the eight people who join; four will serve a three year term, two will serve a two year term and one will serve a one year term.
