A win in the right direction
The Dartmouth High School varsity girls basketball team beat Barnstable High School 62-48 in a close game on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
“We got out to a big lead early,” said Head Coach Brian Jalbert. “We kind of settled in the second half, and we got a little lazy in the second half. [Barnstable] made a nice comeback but that’s why we built the lead so we can have that cushion at the end.”
With five scheduled games left to the season and one to be announced, this game brings the season to eight wins and six losses.
“We’re trying to turn the corner still but tonight was definitely a big, big step in that direction so I’m hoping we can keep some momentum going,” said Jalbert.
He added, “Season’s been up and down, but I’m thrilled to have great kids to be here every day with.”
