Estrella (Alves) Sherman, 77, of Dartmouth, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Tobey Hospital.

She was the wife of John W. Sherman. Sherman was born in Dartmouth, daughter of the late John and Mary L. (Rocha) Alves and had been a longtime resident of the town. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as an assembler for various area mills.

She was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport.

Survivors along with her husband include her two sons, Robert Sherman of TX and Michael Sherman of LA; two daughters, Bonnie Brule and her husband Gilbert of New Bedford and Susan Perkins and her husband Josh of Norton; a sister, Lenora Almeida and her husband Manuel of Dartmouth; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Hilda Figueiredo and John Alves, Jr.
