Hot dog! Annual Padanaram Dog Show set to return
On Saturday, July 25, the Milbury parking lot in Padanaram will look a little different than usual, filled with dozens of dogs competing in the third annual Padanaram Village Dog Show.
Will Milbury of Milbury & Company Real Estate Brokerage came up with the idea of the dog show three years ago after noticing how many dogs strolled by the Milbury office in Padanarm.
While every dog is a winner in this competition, the organizers try to mimic traditional dog shows, set with judges calling each dog one at a time and having the dogs trot around the parking lot.
“It’s a fun show,” Milbury said. “Some take it more seriously than others.”
Milbury said that he’s “thrilled” to see that this year’s weather report is more favorable than previous years and called the dog show the “highlight of the [Padanaram Summer Festival],” noting that between 40 and 60 dogs are expected to participate this year.
“Look forward to it, and everyone’s a winner,” he said.
Those interested in participating can register in advance by sending an email with your name, contact information, and your dog's name and information to info@MilburyRE.com.
Day of registration will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the show starting at 11 a.m. near 304 Elm Street.
