The Dartmouth Dog Advisory Work Group, popularly known as DDAWG, will hold a can/plastic bottle collection on Saturday, July 16, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Dartmouth Dog Park at 443 Old Fall River Road.

Organizers have been trying for years to fund a larger, more permanent park that would be located across from the town’s current one.

Most of the money raised currently goes toward maintenance and other expenses at the current park.

Donated cans must be redeemable, cleaned/rinsed, and bagged or boxed.

Rain date is Saturday, July 23.
