Hidden in Plain Sight
Event Date
The Town of Dartmouth invites community members to attend “Hidden in Plain Sight,” an interactive presentation on how young people conceal illegal substances.
Participants will walk through a mock teenager bedroom, where there will be everyday objects concealing items like vapes, drugs and other items that can be associated with risky behaviors.
It will also cover trends, warning signs, resources and how to talk to young people about this.
This is not an encouragement to search teenagers rooms but for adults to be more informed and confident in recognizing warning signs.
This will be held by Deloris Joseph, Youth Advocate, and Rachel Dzialo, Substance Use Program Coordinator, in partnership with the Children’s Advocacy Center of Bristol County.
The event is free, but registration at https://www.dartmouthma.gov/973/9390/Hidden-in-Plain-Sight-Community-Event is required.
For more information, contact Joseph at djoseph@dartmouthma.gov or 508-910-1851.
The event will be held at the North Branch Library at 211 Cross Rd. on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m.
