Dartmouth seniors receive scholarships, departmental awards
This year, 85 Dartmouth seniors have received scholarships or departmental awards.
During a ceremony on Thursday, May 21, students and families took to the Dartmouth High School auditorium for the Senior Scholarship and Awards Evening.
This year, approximately $167,000 worth of scholarships were awarded to students, Dartmouth High School Principal Ryan Shea said during the ceremony.
“This would not have been possible without the support of the scholarship committees and the community that supports these organizations, and I really want to thank all of you,” Shea said.
Among the scholarships that were awarded were the Tyler Joseph Leonard Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship from the Russells Mills Engine Company and Fire District 2, the Dartmouth Police Athletic League Scholarship and the Potter School PTO Scholarship.
Departmental awards were also awarded to students who Shea said went "above and beyond to stand out within their content area over the past four years," including the Excellence in English Language Arts, Excellence in History and Excellence in Early Childhood Practicum awards.
"I cannot think of a better way to honor our seniors," Shea said. "We are honored to be here in the presence of these incredible students."
