In North Dartmouth, families paraded from Fire District 3 down Cross Road, escorted by a fire truck and marching band. Trick-or-treaters circled around Potter Elementary before returning to the fire station for a magic show and Halloween treats.
Many kids said that their favorite part of the evening was the magic show, which included creating a wand out of a balloon, card tricks, pulling coins seemingly out of thin air and a whole lot of audience participation.
Padanaram Village had lots of parents, kids and dogs dressed up and parading down Elm Street. Kids walked up to shops, where employees handed out candy.
“This is so fun.” one kid yelled as they ran down Elm Street. Many kids agreed that they enjoyed the parade.
“She wants to do it again,” said Alex Santos about her daughter Adeline, age 2. She was dressed as Baby Boo from Monsters, Inc.
Joey Gonzales-Schwartz, age 4.5, said his favorite part was the candy. He was dressed as a rainbow puppy. London Reneson, age 5.5, said her favorite part was the costumes. She was dressed as Zoey from K-Pop Demon Hunters.
For 10-year-old Luna Reyes, who was dressed as Wednesday Addams, her favorite part was "honestly that there’s not cars all over the street so it's free for us to walk.”
