The Town of Dartmouth, Department of Public Works is soliciting bids for:
BITUMINOUS CONCRETE EXCAVATION BY COLD PLANER
Sealed bids will be received by the Department of Public Works, 759 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA, 02748, during business hours, until the date and time of the bid opening.

All bids shall be plainly marked on the outside of a sealed envelope.

Attention is called to the fact that supplies furnished as part of this Contract are exempt from the Sales and Use Tax. All bids submitted should take this factor into consideration, and be calculated accordingly.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, treasurer’s check, or cashier’s check. The amount of such bid security shall be five (5) percent of the value of the total bid.
The contract will be awarded within thirty (30) days after the bid opening. The time for award may be extended by mutual agreement between the Town and the awarded bidder.
No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of thirty (30) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Bidders must be Pre-Qualified with Mass DOT Highway Division.
Vendors are advised that the initial contract term is for one year. Awarding Authority reserves the right to extend the contract for two additional 12 month options. Valuation for purposes of MassDOT Prequalification is based on first year times three (3) to arrive at an estimated total Prequal. contract value. Contractors who are not prequalified to provide the services listed for the total Prequal. contract value, but meet the single year waiver threshold, without documented poor performance issues, and want to bid, should submit a waiver request at least 2 weeks prior to the bid opening to allow for time to appeal in the event that a waiver is not granted. The estimated value provided in this Invitation to Bid is for one year. Vendors are expected to be able to provide their services over three years at three times the initial estimated value. “MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, PAVEMENT - MILLING AND COLD PLANING, for the project with an estimated value of $71,439.88 yr. x 3 = Total Estimated Project Value $214,319.64 will be required.”
The Bidder must furnish a Non-Collusion Form and Statement of Taxes, with their bid.
Proposals must include ALL DOCUMENTS required by the Invitation for Bid. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality, reject any or all proposals, or accept other than the lowest priced proposal.
Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, minimum wage rates to be paid and payroll submission requirements under the Contract. Minimum Wage Rates, as determined by the Director of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the provision of the M.G.L. c. 149, §26 to §27H, as amended, apply to this Project. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before Bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades’ people who may be employed for the proposal work under this Contract.
The Town of Dartmouth reserves the right to waive any informalities in and reject any or all bids, or accept all or any part thereof, to make awards in a manner deemed in its best interest.

NOTIFICATION DATE: May 29, 2026
Public notice is hereby given of the Waterways application by 600 Potomska Land Trust, Marianna S. Webb, Trustee, to construct and maintain a pile supported pier, ramp, float, and float piles at 600 Potomska Road in and over waters of Slocums River. The proposed project has been determined to be water-dependent.
The Department will consider all written comments on this Waterways application received within thirty (30) days subsequent to the “Notification Date”. Failure of any aggrieved person or group of ten citizens or more, with at least five of the ten residents residing in the municipality(s) in which the license or permitted activity is located, to submit written comments to the Waterways Regulation Program by the Public Comments Deadline will result in the waiver of any right to an adjudicatory hearing in accordance with 310 CMR 9.13(4)(c).

Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on Thursday June 11, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. on the petition of Joseph DePina who is seeking a Use Variance to create a condo conversion of two pre-existing dwellings. The primary residence was built in 1967 and the second dwelling, a two-car garage with accessory apartment was built in 1991 with a Variance 1989-72. The two-car garage with accessory apartment above was then expanded in 1998 with a variance 1998-13. Parking facilities shall meet the following minimum setbacks: 40’ from street.
