Weight restrictions for Paskamansett Bridge
The Town of Dartmouth have announced new weight restrictions for Russells Mills Road/Paskamansett River Bridge between Gulf Road West and Chase Road.
This is due to an inspection with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
Single unit trucks with two or three axles must be under six tons, trucks with four to five axles must be under 10 tons and trucks with six or more axles must be under fourteen tons. Trailer trucks must be under 13 tons. Single axle emergency vehicles must be under six tons, tandem emergency vehicles under eight tons and emergency vehicles in general must be under 11 tons.
These new restrictions will behin on Thursday, Oct. 1.
Vehicles over these limits must follow the detour route.
From West, trucks can take Russells Mills Road to Chase Road to Route six to Tucker Road to Russells Mills Road, or Russells Mills Road to Rock O'Dundee Road to Bakerville Road to Russells Mills Road.
From East, trucks can take Russells Mills Road to Tucker Road to Route six to Chase Road to Russells Mills Road, or Russells Mills Road to Bakerville Road to Rock O'Dundee Road to Russells Mills Road.
