Police station to no longer be used as training center
Oct 07, 2025
Police officers will no longer train at the old police station at 249 Russells Mills Road after Select Board members unanimously agreed to cease operations.
The building’s alarm system was recently repaired, but to keep the training program operating the town would be required to do some electrical work, such as installing emergency exit signs, and fire extinguishers throughout the building.
According to Town Administrator Cody Haddad, this would cost a few thousand dollars.
By ending the training program, the town won’t be required to do any work on the building.
The Select Board will discuss the future plans for the police station at a future meeting.
