Register for Citizen's Academy to get the inside scoop on town operations
Registration is now open for the Town of Dartmouth's first-ever Citizen's Academy program — a civic education designed to give residents an inside look at how the local government operates.
The eight-week program will be held on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, April 1 with the last session to be held on May 20. The program will give participants a chance to meet town leaders, tour municiapl facilities and gain a deeper understanding of town departments.
Topics will include day-to-day operations, town administration, public safety, community services, finance, education, and public works. THe meeting location will vary depending on the topic covered in the session.
The program is free and open to Dartmouth residents, though space is limited to 20 particiapnts.
