Richard P. Brown, 88, of Dartmouth passed away on December 26, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer.

Dick was born in Worcester the son of Everett and Lillian (Dupre) Brown and was raised in Shrewsbury. He attended Shrewsbury schools and graduated from the Major Howard W. Beal High School.

After high school Dick proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Matthew John Whittall Lodge, A.F. & A.M. in Shrewsbury.

Dick worked for many years for the IBM Corporation in Boca Raton, FL and spent his retirement years in Dartmouth.

Being surrounded by his large family was Dick’s favorite pastime. He truly loved and was loved by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed.

Survivors include his brother William as well as 10 nieces and nephews, 20 great-nieces and nephews, and 18 great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dick was predeceased by his brothers Everett Jr. and Robert.

Funeral and burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury will take place in the spring when conditions are safer for family and friends to gather.
