Spring yard collection schedule for SMART

The spring schedule for the Save Money And Reduce Trash (SMART) Curbside Yard Waste Collection has been announced and will be starting on Friday, April 10. 

For those who have a Monday and Tuesday solid waste pickup date, yard waste will be collected on Fridays April 10, May 1 and May 15. For those with a Wednesday or Thursday solid waste collection day, yard waste will be collected on Fridays April 17, May 8 and May 22. 

Collection begins at 7 a.m. All grass, leaves and clipping must be placed in biodegradable bags or loose in barrels or corrugated boxes. 

Yard waste can also be brought to the Water Pollution Control Facility, which is located at 759 Russells Mills Road. The facility is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. 

A Transfer Station Sticker is required to drop off yard waste at the facility. The sticker is free for SMART customers.
