Register for the eighth annual Wet Paint Padanarm Plein Air
The Dartmouth Cultural Center is bringing back its Wet Paint Padanarm Plein Air for an eighth year.
Artists will gather at a designated location that has views of the coastal village to paint the Village, Harbor and surrounding coastline.
Registration for the event began on Saturday, May 23 and will be open until Sunday, August 9. It is $40, and registered artists will be featured on the Cultural Center’s social media for weeks leading up to the event.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 22. The rain date will be Sunday, August 23. Registered artists will receive more details a week prior. The day will begin between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. when artists can have their canvas or substrate stamped and dated, as well as get a map of where to paint and lanyard. A boxed lunch will be served. Artists can paint until 3 p.m., and must return to the cultural center by 3:30 p.m.
Doors will open to the public to buy the finished art at 4:30 p.m. Artists are encouraged to be there to accept payment and hand out business cards.
First place will receive $300, second place $200 and third place $100.
