Overdose awareness events to be held throughout August
Throughout August the Town of Dartmouth will be hosting events for Overdose Awareness Month.
These events will allow residents to come together to raise awareness, honor lives affected by addiction and learn how to prevent opioid overdose.
There will be four free naloxone training classes held so that residents may learn how to administer Naloxone to someone who is overdosing to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
Sessions will be held on the following dates:
- Monday, Aug. 3 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall, located at 400 Slocum Rd
- Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the North Branch Library, located at 211 Cross Rd
- Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Southworth Library, located at 732 Dartmouth St
- Thursday, Aug. 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dartmouth Council on Aging, located at 628 Dartmouth St
