The Department of Public Works has announced a parking ban in effect from 6 p.m. on Thursday through 12 a.m. Saturday due to expected snowfall from a winter storm.

No parking will be allowed on the hydrant side of streets. If there is no hydrant, residents should park on the even house numbered side.

The announcement comes as a National Weather Service winter weather advisory remains in effect in the southeastern Massachusetts region from noon Thursday until 7 p.m. Friday, with an expected snowfall of 3-7 inches.
