Sinking of the S.S. Larchmont
Learn about the sinking of the S.S. Larchmont off Watch Hill, which occurred in February of 1907. The sinking occurred when the ship collided with the schooner Harry Knowlton three miles offshore.
Daniel Harrington's presentation will cover the story of the ship, its crew, the passengers, and stories of survivial, panic, murder and miracles. Harrington, who is a director of the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame, will use digitally restored photos and eyewitness accounts in his presentation.
This presentation will be held at the North Branch Library at 211 Cross Road and begins at 2 p.m. This event is being hosted by the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries. For more information, email fodl.libraries@gmail.com.

Molly Little Film Series
Learn about artist Paul Gauguin's complicated legacy and Suzanne Valadon's rebellious vision by attending the Molly Little Film Series, being held by the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries.
The event will go from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Southworth Library at 732 Dartmouth Street.

All about tropical bird diversity
The Paskamansett Bird Club will be holding its next meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. where Troy Blodgett will present "Nature's Secret Recipe for Tropical Bird Diversity."
The meeting will be held at the Smith Neck Meetinghouse at 594 Smith Neck Road and is free and open to the public.
