Thomas H. McGill, 89
Thomas H. McGill, 89, of Dartmouth died Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Vantage Health and Rehab of New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Carol A. (LaVigne) McGill.
A Los Angeles native, Tom was a graduate of Loyola University, now Loyola Marymount. He also received Masters Degrees from Gonzaga University, Boston College, and the University of Iowa.
Tom taught English at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Dartmouth High School. He was also employed as a Campus Director for Fisher College in both Fall River and Taunton.
He is survived by his son, Brian, and his granddaughter, Samantha.
A public Memorial Mass to honor both Tom and his late wife, Carol, will be celebrated Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 795 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth. Burial will be private.
